IN RE: | SB679 by Duncan (Relating to evidence in a civil action concerning the provision and cost of certain services.), As Introduced |
The bill would amend the Civil Practice and Remedies Code relating to evidence in a civil action concerning the provision and cost of certain services. The bill would modify the wording of a business record affidavit concerning costs and necessity of services used to admit evidence into trial as a business record of a regularly conducted activity exception to the heresay rule. The Office of Court Administration estimates the bill will not have a significant fiscal impact on the judiciary or the state.
