No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Section 250.001(3) of the Health and Safety Code, related to criminal history record checks for certain employees of facilities licensed by the Department of State Health Services (DSHS). The agency indicates that costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within its current resources. The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a vote of two thirds of all the members elected to each house; otherwise the bill would take effect September 1, 2013.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
