The bill would amend the Occupations Code relating to regulation by the Texas Medical Board (TMB) of local anesthesia and peripheral nerve blocks administered in an outpatient setting. Based on information submitted by the TMB, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
