No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Alcoholic Beverage Code relating to alcoholic beverage license applications and fees. It is assumed that implementing the provisions of the bill can be absorbed within the existing resources of the agency.

The changes in law made by this Act apply only to a license application filed on or after the effective date of this Act. The bill would take effect on September 1, 2013.


Local Government Impact

The bill would increase the hearing fee deposited to the county treasury and reduce administrative duties with liquor license applications for county judges, county clerks, and county tax assessors. The fiscal impact to local governments would be positive, but is not anticipated to have a significant fiscal impact.
