No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would continue the Cybersecurity, Education, and Economic Development Council (Council) for two years until September 1, 2015. Under current law, the council will be abolished on September 1, 2013 unless continued by the Legislature. The bill would take effect immediately upon receiving a two-thirds majority vote in each house. Otherwise the bill would take effect on September 1, 2013. It is anticipated that any costs associated with implementation of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.
