No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Texas Family Code as it relates to the possession of or access to a child by a grandparent or certain other relatives of the child. The Office of Attorney General anticipates that additional workloads resulting from the bill could be absorbed with existing resources. The Office of Court Administration does not anticipate any significant fiscal impact to the court system as a result of the bill. The bill would take effect September 1, 2013.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
