No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would require the Texas Board of Criminal Justice to convey to the Board of Regents at the Texas State University System real property as described under the provisions of the bill. The conveyed state property would be used by Sam Houston State University primarily for a governmental purpose. The Texas Department of Criminal Justice and the Texas State University System have determined that the bill would not result in a significant fiscal impact to the State. The bill would take effect immediately upon receiving a two-thirds majority vote in each house; otherwise the bill would take effect September 1, 2013.
