IN RE: | SB1163 by Watson (Relating to requirements for consolidating water and sewer utilities.), As Engrossed |
The bill would repeal Water Code, Section 13.145 (b), which exempts a public utility provider that served only 24 counties on January 1, 2003, from the requirements of Water Code, Section 145 as they pertain to the consolidation of multiple water/sewer systems under one tariff when specific conditions are met. The bill would be effective on December 31, 2014.
No significant fiscal implications to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality is expected as a result of the bill's passage.
