FROM:

IN RE:
SB1345 by Hinojosa (Relating to the sale and distribution of certain alcoholic beverages.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Alcoholic Beverage Code to allow a wholesaler's permittee to sell distilled spirits to mixed beverage, airline beverage, or private club registration permittees. The bill would allow a holder of both a wholesaler's permit and a private carrier permit to transport and deliver distilled spirits to a mixed beverage, airline beverage, or private club registration permittee in an area where the sale of distilled spirits is legal. Mixed beverage and private club registration permittees who also hold a beverage cartage permit would be allowed to transport alcoholic beverages from a local distributor's or wholesaler's premises to the permittee's premises. The bill would take effect September 1, 2013.

It is assumed that the bill would not result in a significant fiscal impact to the State.
