The bill relates to the provision of credit by examination. The bill would require school districts to develop multiple versions of an examination for a grade level or subject area for multiple administrations of examinations in the same school year.
The bill would require school districts to offer each examination for credit by examination within 30 days of receiving a written request from a student’s parent if the test was offered electronically and at least four times per year if the test was not offered electronically.
School districts would experience administrative costs to develop additional examinations for credit. These costs would vary depending on the number of grade levels and subject areas offered within the same school year.
