SB1385 by Hancock (Relating to notification procedures regarding the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to publish monthly enforcement reports on the agency’s website not later than the 15th day before the date of any meeting of the commission for which public notice is given. The bill would require the TCEQ to publish notice of certain decisions regarding penalties in the Texas Register and on the agency's website, and it would make changes to various notice and publication requirements, complaints, and hearings. The bill would also make changes to requirements related to petroleum storage tanks and underground storage tanks with regard to compliance, penalties, and notification requirements.
 
The bill would take effect on September 1, 2013. 
 
Any administrative costs to the TCEQ in implementing the provisions of the bill are not anticipated to be significant.
