IN RE:	SB1436 by Paxton (Relating to the service retirement annuity of certain members of the Judicial Retirement System of Texas Plan One.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to increase the limit to 100 percent on service retirement annuities to annuitants under the Judicial Retirement System Plan One (JRS-I), from the previous limit of 90 percent.
 
The Employees Retirement System (ERS) anticipates that the bill would minimally increase the unfunded liability of JRS-I by $5,000 in All Funds. 

The bill would take effect September 1, 2013.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
