No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the State Board of Educator Certification (SBEC) to determine the satisfactory level of performance required for each certification examination. The bill would require a satisfactory level of examination performance in each core subject covered by the examination for the issuance of a generalist certificate.

Based on information provided by the Texas Education Agency, the duties and responsiblities required to implement the provisions of the bill could be implemented within existing resources.
