IN RE:
SB1574 by Lucio (Relating to the authority of certain counties and the General Land Office to temporarily close a beach or a beach access point.), As Introduced
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would add Section 240.903 to Chapter 240 of the Local Government Code relating to the authority of certain counties and the General Land Office (GLO) to temporarily close a beach or a beach access point during space flight activities as defined by the provisions. The GLO would be required to approve or deny a request for a launch on a specified date not later than the third day after the date the GLO receives the request. The commissioners court may enter into a memorandum of understanding with the GLO as necessary to comply with the requirements.
According to the GLO, no fiscal impact to GLO is anticipated.
Local Government Impact
Because the bill would not have statewide impact on units of local government of the same type or class, no comment from this office is required by the rules of the House/Senate as to its probable fiscal implication on units of local government.
