Honorable Troy Fraser, Chair, Senate Committee on Natural Resources
FROM:
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
SB1574 by Lucio (Relating to the authority of certain counties and the General Land Office to temporarily close a beach or beach access point.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Chapter 61 of the Natural Resources Code relating to the authority of certain counties and the General Land Office (GLO) to temporarily close a beach or a beach access point during space flight activities as defined by the provisions. The commissioners court may not close a beach or access point to the beach on a primary launch date without the approval of the GLO. The GLO may enter into a memorandum of understanding with the commissioners court.
According to the GLO, no fiscal impact is anticipated.
Local Government Impact
Because the bill would not have statewide impact on units of local government of the same type or class, no comment from this office is required by the rules of the House/Senate as to its probable fiscal implication on units of local government.
