FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

May 13, 2013

TO:
Honorable Tryon D. Lewis, Chair, House Committee on Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence

FROM:
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
SB1806 by Eltife (Relating to the Harrison County Court at Law.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code as it relates to the jurisdiction of county courts at law in Harrison County, assignment and transfer of certain cases within Harrison County, and certain jury requests.

The Office of Court Administration does not anticipate any significant fiscal impact resulting from the provisions of the bill. The bill would take effect January 1, 2015.

Local Government Impact

Because the bill would not have statewide impact on units of local government of the same type or class, no comment from this office is required by the rules of the House/Senate as to its probable fiscal implication on units of local government.
