No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated, other than the cost of publication.

The cost to the state for publication of the resolution is $108,921.


The joint resolution proposes a constitutional amendment that would require the legislature to statutorily reduce hospital district and county taxation rates and to reduce uncompensated care appropriations accordingly, contingent upon the receipt of additional federal funds received pursuant to expanding Medicaid eligibility under the Affordable Care Act. The joint resolution specifies that the proposed constitutional amendment would be submitted to voters at an election to be held November 5, 2013.
