Pursuant to a notice posted on February 8, 2013, revised on February 13, 2013, permission granted on February 14, 2013, to meet while the House was in session, and an announcement from the House floor on February 14, 2013, the House Committee on Appropriations - S/C on Articles I, IV, & V met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Turner, Sylvester, at 7:33 a.m.
The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Turner, Sylvester; McClendon; Gonzales, Larry; King, Susan; Longoria; and Orr.
A quorum was present.
The subcommittee heard testimony from the Legislative Budget Board.

At 9:49 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was recessed until 10:30 a.m., following the completion of the calendar rules discussion, assuming permission is granted. If permission is not granted the subcommittee will meet upon final adjourn./recess.
The committee reconvened at 11:57 a.m. and was called to order by the chair, Representative Turner, Sylvester.
