Pursuant to a notice posted on April 22, 2014, the House Committee on Appropriations - S/C on Articles VI, VII, & VIII met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Darby, at 10:11 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Darby; Raney; Ashby; Bell; and Márquez.

A quorum was present.

Interim Charge:  Funds Relating to the 2010 Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill

The committee took testimony on the following interim charge:  Monitor the use of funds provided or made available to Texas in relation to the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill and make recommendations on the appropriate use of these funds in the future.
