Pursuant to a notice posted on April 22, 2014, the House Committee on Appropriations - S/C on Articles VI, VII, & VIII met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Darby, at 1:19 p.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Darby; Raney; Ashby; Bell; and Muñoz, Jr.

A quorum was present.

Interim Charge:  Reducing Reliance on Dedicated Accounts for Budget Certification

The committee took testimony on the following interim charge:  Examine progress made during the 83^rd legislative session on reducing the additional methods to further reduce the reliance on dedicated accounts for budget certification purposes, and further examine ways to maximize the use of such accounts.

The committee heard testimony from the Legislative Budget Board.
