Pursuant to a notice posted on July 10, 2013, the House Committee on Appropriations met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Pitts, at 1:13 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Pitts; Turner, Sylvester; Ashby; Bell; Carter; Crownover; Darby; Davis, Sarah; Dukes; Giddings; Howard; Hughes; King, Susan; Márquez; McClendon; Muñoz, Jr.; Orr; Otto; Perry; Raney; and Zerwas.

 

A quorum was present.

 


 

HJR 2

 

The chair laid out HJR 2.

 

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The chair recognized Representative Pickett and Representative Phillips to explain HJR 2.

 

(Representative Bonnen, Greg now present.)

 

(Representative Ratliff now present.)

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

The chair moved that HJR 2, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

The committee heard from a resource with the Legislative Budget Board.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
