Pursuant to a notice posted on March 11, 2014, the House Committee on Business & Industry met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Oliveira, at 10:33 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Oliveira; Bohac; Orr; Rodriguez, Eddie; Villalba; and Workman.

A quorum was present.

The committee heard testimony on the Texas economy and Interim charge 5: Study the impact of credit card data theft and other credit or privacy information theft on Texas consumers and businesses.

At 1:59 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
