Pursuant to a notice posted on June 13, 2013, the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Herrero, at 10:50 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Herrero; Carter; Burnam; Canales; Hughes; Leach; Moody; and Schaefer.

 

A quorum was present.

Testimony taken/registration recorded on the subject of the special session call of legislation relating to establishing a mandatory sentence of life with parole for a capital felony committed by a 17-year-old offender.  (See attached witness list.)

 

At 1:53 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
