Pursuant to a notice posted on July 24, 2014, the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Herrero, at 10:06 a.m.
The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Herrero; Burnam; Canales; Hughes; Leach; and Moody.
A quorum was present.

Chair delivered opening remarks and opened up public discussion for the posted
agenda.

The chair brought up interim charge 2, relating to the effectiveness of
deferred adjudication and orders for non-disclosure.
