Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 24, 2013, the House Committee on Economic & Small Business Development met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Davis, John, at 4:57 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Davis, John; Vo; Bell; Davis, Yvonne; Isaac; Murphy; Perez; Rodriguez, Eddie; and Workman.

 

A quorum was present.

 


 

HB 3005

 

Representative Rodriguez, Eddie moved to reconsider the vote by which HB 3005 failed to be reported.  The motion to reconsider prevailed without objection.

 

The chair laid out HB 3005.

 

Representative Rodriguez, Eddie moved that HB 3005, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Davis, John; Bell; Isaac; Murphy; Workman (5).

 

Nays:                           Representatives Davis, Yvonne; Perez; Rodriguez, Eddie (3).

The chair laid out HB 2181 as pending business.

 

Representative Davis, John offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Davis, John moved that HB 2181, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
