Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 9, 2013, and permission granted on May 9, 2013, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Elections met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Morrison, at 5:32 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Morrison; Klick; Miller, Rick; Simmons; and Wu.

 

A quorum was present.

 

 

The chair directed that the March 25, 2013 minutes for the House Committee on Elections be corrected. The corrected minutes were authorized without objection.

 

SB 160

 

The chair laid out SB 160.

 

Representative Simmons moved that SB 160, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Morrison; Klick; Miller, Rick; Simmons; Wu (5).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representatives Miles; Johnson (2).

 

At 5:39 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
