Pursuant to a notice posted on May 9, 2013, and permission granted on May 14, 2013, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Environmental Regulation met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Harless, at 2:49 p.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Harless; Márquez; Isaac; Kacal; Reynolds; and Thompson, Ed.

The chair laid out SB 347 as pending business.

Representative Lewis moved that SB 347, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Ayes:                           Representatives Harless; Isaac; Kacal; Lewis; Reynolds; Thompson, Ed; Turner, Chris (7).

Nays:                           Representative Márquez (1).

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

Absent:                        Representative Villalba (1).

The chair laid out SB 459.

Representative Isaac offered a complete committee substitute.

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

Representative Isaac moved that SB 459, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Nays:                           Representative Thompson, Ed (1).

At 3:29 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
