Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 17, 2013, the House Committee on Government Efficiency & Reform met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Harper-Brown, at 12:18 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Harper-Brown; Perry; Capriglione; Stephenson; and Taylor, Van.

 

A quorum was present.

 


 

SB 1563

 

The chair laid out SB 1563 as pending business.

 

The chair offered an amendment to the measure.

 

The amendment was adopted without objection.

 

The chair moved that SB 1563, as amended, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Harper-Brown; Perry; Capriglione; Stephenson (4).

 

Nays:                           Representative Taylor, Van (1).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representatives Turner, Scott; Vo (2).
