Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 10, 2013, the House Committee on Higher Education met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Branch, at 1:35 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Branch; Alonzo; Darby; Howard; Martinez, "Mando"; and Raney.

The chair laid out SB 691, companion to HB 1486.

 

Representative Alonzo moved that SB 691, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
