Pursuant to a notice posted on July 11, 2014, the House Committee on House Administration met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Geren, at 10:03 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Geren; Howard; Allen; Alonzo; Frullo; Kuempel; Márquez; and Raney.

A quorum was present.

Chairman Geren offered opening remarks and recognized Representative Kleinschmidt to address the Committee regarding a personnel matter.

Chairman Geren recognized Mr. John Higgins, Jr. to address the Committee regarding a personnel matter.

Chairman Geren outlined the proposed select committee budgets.

Representative Raney moved to accept the proposed select committee budgets.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Ayes:                           Representatives Geren; Howard; Allen; Alonzo; Frullo; Kuempel; Márquez; Raney (8).

Nays:                           None (0).

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

Absent:                        Representatives Gooden; King, Susan; Vo (3).

Chairman Geren recognized Mr. Chris Griesel and Ms. Shalla Sluyter to update the Committee on technology changes for the House of Representatives.

At 10:41 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
