Pursuant to a notice posted on August 5, 2014, the House Committee on House Administration met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Geren, at 9:00 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Geren; Howard; Alonzo; Frullo; King, Susan; Kuempel; and Raney.

A quorum was present.

Chairman Geren outlined the proposed select committee budgets. 

Representative Kuempel moved to accept the proposed select committee budgets. 

The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Ayes:                           Representatives Geren; Howard; Alonzo; Frullo; King, Susan; Kuempel; Raney (7).

Nays:                           None (0).

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

Absent:                        Representatives Allen; Gooden; Márquez; Vo (4).

Chairman Geren moved to instruct staff to investigate and report back to the Committee on issues related to press accreditation. 

The motion prevailed without objection.

At 9:03 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
