Pursuant to a notice posted on March 6, 2013, and permission granted on March 11, 2013, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Lewis, at 3:35 p.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Lewis; Farrar; Farney; Gooden; Hunter; King, Ken; Raymond; and Thompson, Senfronia.

The chair laid out HB 1031 as pending business.

Representative Farney offered a complete committee substitute.

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
