Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on March 12, 2013, and permission granted on March 12, 2013, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Public Health met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Kolkhorst, at 11:39 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Kolkhorst; Naishtat; Coleman; Collier; Davis, Sarah; Guerra; King, Susan; Laubenberg; Sheffield, J. D.; and Zedler.

Representative Naishtat moved that HB 39, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
