Pursuant to a notice posted on March 28, 2013, the House Committee on Transparency in State Agency Operations, Select met in a public hearing and was called to order by the co-chair, Representative Carol Alvarado, at 1:14 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Alvarado; Flynn; Larson; Perry; and Price.

 

A quorum was present.

 

Representative Alvarado made opening remarks about the goal of the hearing: to receive testimony from grant-making agencies and foundation in Texas and gather best practices and lessons learned.

At 4:39 p.m., on the motion of Representative Alvarado and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
