Pursuant to a notice posted on October 14, 2013, the House Committee on Transparency in State Agency Operations, Select met in a public hearing and was called to order by the co-chair, Representative Carol Alvarado, at 10:17 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Alvarado; Flynn; Gonzalez, Naomi; Johnson; Martinez Fischer; and Perry.

 

A quorum was present.

 


 

The meeting began with opening remarks from the committee chairs and from special counsel.

 

(Representative Larson now present.)

 

Representative Flynn moved that Kevin Hegarty be compelled by subpoena to testify before the committee.

 

The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

At 12:40 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was recessed to allow the committee to convene in executive session.

 

The committee reconvened at 1:36 p.m. and was called to order by Representative Alvarado.
