Pursuant to a notice posted on May 7, 2014, the House Committee on Transparency in State Agency Operations, Select met in a public hearing and was called to order by the co-chair, Representative Dan Flynn, at 11:06 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Alvarado; Flynn; Gonzalez, Naomi; Johnson; Martinez Fischer; Perry; and Price.

 

A quorum was present.

 


 

 

The Co-Chair made opening remarks.

Co-Chair Alvarado moved to recess the committee into executive session.

 

The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Alvarado; Flynn; Gonzalez, Naomi; Johnson; Larson; Martinez Fischer; Perry; Price (8).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

The committee reconvened at 1:22 p.m. and was called to order by Co-Chair Flynn.

 

The quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Alvarado; Flynn; Gonzalez, Naomi; Johnson; Larson; Martinez Fischer; Perry; and Price.

 

A quorum was present.

 

The House Parliamentarian gave an overview of the Speaker’s June 25, 2013, Proclamation.

 

Representative Larson moved that the Committee determine that grounds for impeachment of University of Texas System Board of Regent Wallace Hall exist.

 

The motion was seconded by Representative Martinez Fischer.

 

The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Alvarado; Flynn; Gonzalez, Naomi; Johnson; Larson; Martinez Fischer; Price (7).

 

Nays:                           Representative Perry (1).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        None (0).

 

 

 

 

 

At 1:39 p.m., on the motion of Representative Flynn and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
