Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Rural Affairs & Homeland Security was held on Monday, February 11, 2013, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.012, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 3:02 PM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

The chair laid out proposed committee rules. Senator Schwertner moved adoption of the committee rules. There being no objection, it was so ordered.

The committee heard invited testimony from agencies under the committee’s jurisdiction. Witnesses registering and testifying are shown on the attached list.

There being no further business, at 5:13 PM Senator Estes moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
