Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Rural Affairs & Homeland Security was held on Monday, May 19, 2014, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.012, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 9:03 AM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

Senator Estes called invited witnesses to provide testimony on the ammonium nitrate and disaster recovery interim charges (see attached witness list).

The chair moved that invited testimony on the ammonium nitrate and disaster recovery interim charges be closed; without objection, it was so ordered.

Senator Estes moved that public testimony be opened. Witnesses testifying on the ammonium nitrate and disaster recovery interim charges are shown on the attached list.

There being no further business, at 11:21 AM Senator Estes moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
