Pursuant to suspension of Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Subcommittee on Fiscal Matters was held on Friday, May 17, 2013, at Senator Hegar's Desk.

The chair called the meeting to order at 12:55 PM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

The chair laid out HB 697 by Senator Duncan.  Senator Hegar, in the absence of the Senate sponsor, explained the bill.

The chair opened public testimony.  There were no registration cards for the bill.

The chair moved that the public testimony be closed; without objection, it was so ordered.

Senator Hegar moved that HB 697 be reported favorably to the Senate Committee on Finance with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record vote of 4 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent.

The chair laid out HB 315 by Senator Estes.  Senator Hegar, in the absence of the Senate sponsor, explained the bill.

The chair opened public testimony.  There were no registration cards for the bill.

The chair moved that the public testimony be closed; without objection, it was so ordered.

Senator Hegar moved that HB 315 be reported favorably to the Senate Committee on Finance with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record vote of 4 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent.

There being no further business, at 12:57 PM Senator Hegar moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
