The chair called the meeting to order at 9:05 AM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

Senator Nichols sent up a committee substitute; the chair recognized Senator Seliger to explain the difference between the committee substitute and the senate bill as filed.

Senator Huffman moved that SJR 22 be reported favorably to the Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record vote of 8 ayes, 1 nay, 0 present not voting, and 0 absent.

Senator Huffman moved the adoption of the committee substitute for SB 292. There being no objection, it was so ordered. Senator Huffman moved that SB 292 do not pass but that CSSB 292 be reported back to the Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record vote of 8 ayes, 1 nay, 0 present not voting, and 0 absent.

 

At 12:10 PM Senator Deuell assumed the chair.

 

The chair laid out as a matter of pending business SB 679 and recognized the author, Senator Duncan, to explain the bill.

 

Senator Duncan moved adoption of the committee substitute for SB 679 be adopted. There being no objection, it was so ordered. Senator Duncan moved that SB 679 do not pass but that CSSB 679 be reported back to the Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.
