Pursuant to suspension of Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Nominations was held on Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at Senator Hegar's Desk.

The chair called the meeting to order at 12:40 PM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

 

Senator Hegar moved that the committee vote to approve the nominations of the individuals to the following entities: Commission on Human Rights, Commission on Jail Standards, Governing Board of the Texas Indigent Defense Commission, Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority Board of Directors, Judicial Compensation Commission, Lavaca-Navidad River Authority, Lower Colorado River Authority, Nueces River Authority Board of Directors, Product Development and Small Business Incubator Board, Real Estate Research Advisory Committee, San Jacinto River Authority Board of Directors, Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners, Texas Commission of Licensing and Regulation, Texas Medical Board, Texas Physician Assistant Board, Texas State Board of Public Accountancy, Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners, Texas Water Development Board, Trinity River Authority Board of Directors, and University of Texas System Board of Regents.  The motion carried with a record vote of 6 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent.

 

 

 

There being no further business, at 12:44 PM Senator Hegar moved that the committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
