Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Transportation Funding, Expenditures & Finance, Select was held on Tuesday, June 24, 2014, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.016, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 9:00 AM. The following business was transacted:

 

The Committee heard invited testimony from the following:

 

Texas Department of Transportation

 

The roll was called, and a quorum was established.

 

The Chair laid out the proposed updated Committee Rules.  Senator Nichols moved adoption of the Committee Rules; without objection, the rules were adopted.

Legislative Budget Board

Texas Department of Motor Vehicles

Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts

Texas A&M Transportation Institute

 

Witnesses are shown on the attached list.

 

There being no further business, at 11:13 AM Senator Nichols moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
