Pursuant to Rule 1, Texas House Rules and pursuant to Rule 11.03, Texas Senate Rules, a public hearing of the Joint Committee on Ethics Laws, Select was held on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.012, at Austin, Texas.

Co-chair Senator Joan Huffman called the meeting to order at 9:36 AM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

 

Senator Huffman moved adoption of the committee rules. There being no objection, it was so ordered.

 

Senator Huffman and Representative Sarah Davis made opening remarks.  Senator Huffman explained that the Select Committee on Ethics Laws was created through SB 1773.

 

Witnesses testifying and registering are shown on the attached list.

 

Representative Sarah Davis moved that the public testimony be closed; without objection, it was so ordered.

 

 

 

There being no further business, at 12:22 PM Senator Huffman moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
