The committee will meet for organizational purposes and to hear invited testimony from the following:
ˇ Finance Commission of Texas ˇ Credit Union Commission ˇ Office of Consumer Credit Commissioner ˇ Office of Banking Commissioner ˇ Texas Department of Banking ˇ Department of Savings and Mortgage Lending ˇ Texas Treasury Safekeeping Trust Company ˇ Texas Public Finance Authority ˇ Bond Review Board ˇ State Securities Board
The committee will also hear invited and public testimony on the subject of short-term consumer loans, including those offered by credit access businesses (sometimes referred to as "payday" or "auto title" lending).
