The Senate Committee on Business and Commerce will convene at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday April 9th, 2013, in room E1.016 of the Capitol Extension to take up the following bills for consideration as new business:

Relating to promotional items provided by manufacturers, wholesalers, and distributors of alcoholic beverages to retailers.

Relating to requiring certain alcoholic beverage permittees to be the primary source of supply for certain alcoholic beverages.

Relating to attaining reserve capacity margins in power regions to meet expected peak demand.

Relating to the sale and distribution of certain alcoholic beverages.

Relating to demand-side electric energy resources in the competitive electric market.

Relating to the computation of an electric utility's income taxes.

SB 1586       Rodríguez              
Relating to the definition of distributed renewable generation for certain generation systems installed on publicly owned land.

HB 1600       Cook | et al.           SP: Nichols
Relating to the continuation and functions of the Public Utility Commission of Texas, to the transfer of certain functions from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality to the Public Utility Commission of Texas, and to the functions of the Office of Public Utility Counsel; authorizing a fee.

At the Chair's discretion, the Committee may also consider any pending business.
