The Joint Interim Committee to Study Education for a Skilled Workforce will take up the following charges:
|
|
Study and make recommendations regarding linking postsecondary education with the needs of the labor market, high school and postsecondary curricula requirements, opportunities for new education-workforce partnerships, and the impact of emerging industrial sectors on the Texas workforce.
Study and make recommendations regarding career and technical education's impact on high school graduation, transitions to postsecondary education, industry-based certification, a postsecondary certificate, or an associate's degree.

Public testimony will be limited to three (3) minutes. If submitting written testimony, please provide twenty (20) copies with your name on each to the committee clerk.
