Amend CSHB 1 (house committee printing), page IV-37, by adding an appropriately numbered rider to read as follows:
____.  Contingent on the enactment of HB 3543 by the Eighty-Fourth Legislature to establish the Office of Public Integrity Prosecutions for the prosecution of offenses against public administration, including ethics offenses, offenses involving insurance fraud, and offenses involving motor fuels tax, $2,015,498 in fiscal year 2016 and $2,079,282 in fiscal year 2017 from general revenue and $1,237,857 in fiscal year 2016 and $1,276,293 in fiscal year 2017 from general revenue fund - Insurance Companies Maintenance Tax and Insurance Department Fees are appropriated for those purposes pursuant to the provisions of the legislation. No funds appropriated under this rider or elsewhere in this Act shall be appropriated to the Travis County District Attorney to investigate or prosecute elected officials who reside in a county whose voters do not elect the Travis County District Attorney.
