Amend CSHB 1 (house committee printing) as follows:

(1)  In Article V of the bill, in the bill pattern appropriations to the Department of Public Safety:

(1)  reduce the appropriations from the general revenue fund to that department for Strategy B.1.1, State Grants to Local Entities (page V-34), by the amount of $1,800,000 for the state fiscal year ending August 31, 2016, and by the same amount for the state fiscal year ending August 31, 2017; and

(2)  reduce the performance measure target for Strategy B.1.1, State Grants to Local Entities, Amount of Funds Provided for Local Border Security Operations (page V-36), by $1,800,000 for the state fiscal year ending August 31, 2016, and by the same amount for the state fiscal year ending August 31, 2017.

(2)  In Article II of the bill, add the following appropriately numbered rider after the appropriations to the Department of Aging and Disability Services:

____. Hazardous Duty Pay for State Supported Living Center Nurses. In addition to the other amounts appropriated above for Strategy A.8.1, State Supported Living Centers, for the state fiscal biennium beginning September 1, 2015, the amount of $1,800,000 is appropriated out of the general revenue fund to the Department of Aging and Disability Services for the state fiscal year ending August 31, 2016, and the amount of $1,800,000 is appropriated out of the general fund to the Department of Aging and Disability Services for the state fiscal year ending August 31, 2017, for the purpose of paying nurses employed at state supported living centers an additional $10 per hour in hazardous duty pay.
