Amend CSHB 1 (house committee printing) by adding the following appropriately numbered rider following the Article I appropriations for Fiscal Programs - Comptroller of Public Accounts (page I-21):

____.  Report on Equal Pay at State Agencies. It is the intent of the legislature that the comptroller, using funds appropriated to the comptroller above, provide a report comparing the salaries of men and women employed under the same job classification system at all Texas state agencies. It is the intent of the legislature that the comptroller submit this annual report to members of the Texas Legislature no later than September 1 of each fiscal year.
