Amend CSHB 1 (house committee report) in Article IX, Part 7, of the bill, following Section 7.12 (page IX-41), by adding the following appropriately numbered section:

Sec. 7.____.  Monthly Report on Unexpended Funds by State Agencies. Beginning in the first calendar month of the second quarter of the fiscal year beginning September 1, 2016, the Legislative Budget Board shall make a monthly report that provides an estimate for each state agency of the amount of appropriated money in the agency's budget that will not be spent by the state agency before the end of that fiscal year. Not later than the 15th day of each month, the Legislative Budget Board shall deliver each monthly report to the legislature and publish each report on the Legislative Budget Board's Internet website.
